Casserole Lids
The other night we had mac and cheese for dinner. I love mac and cheese, do you? It's one of my favorite dishes. The recipe calls for it to be baked in an uncovered casserole, I seem to sell all of them but have kept a few covered casseroles (usually they are seconds). That's not a problem, just cook it with the lid off. IF we have leftovers they can be easily covered with the lid and put into the fridge.
We didn't have to do that with this batch. But since the lid had been out of the cabinet it got Janet thinking.

So last night she used the lid as a serving tray. I love it when people get my design ideas.

Wow a double use pottery piece, I love it, that is a great lid and casserole, perfect.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda, that is the idea of the design, it's also great for a way to set down a hot lid without worrying about where it's going to roll, which has happened to me with mass produced pot lids.
DeleteRe: your reply on my blog about names.... See you could name your casseroles Mac! Haha. That dish looks soooo yummy, I may have to make some tonight....
ReplyDeleteHa Tracey, you're right but I'm afraid I'd get it mixed up with my computer.
