Beagles!
East Atlanta Village was really celebrating Earth Day last week, the Farmer's Market opened, a parade was held and a craft market was set up on Saturday. I was invited to participate in the craft market but did not feel I had the inventory or the energy to do the show well. Maybe next time. That didn't stop me from wanting to check out the market and see what was going on. It's so rare that I get to go to these events without working.
We saw some very creative work and it looked like everyone was having a great time. Then we stopped at the tent for Atlanta Beagle Rescue and started playing with a sweet pup named Noodle. She's very pretty and was very sweet and gentle. I really wanted to take her home but we already have quite a few pups including an old man who doesn't need another young one hanging around him.
I really hope she gets a forever home soon. If you want to know more about her click this link http://www.atlantabeaglerescue.org/available-beagles.html and scroll down to Noodle.
What does this have to do with pottery? Nothing, but I know at least one of my readers loves Beagles.

Pets, gardens, books, junking, art, pottery, & etc.....seems to be a shared gene.

It's true Tara, think about it, pottery and gardening are both playing in the dirt, same thing that pets do, and what's a better way to enjoy the garden then to relax in it with a good book.
DeleteVariety in blogs is what I like; I found if I am not signed into google that's when my comment is lost and I have to retype it. I still think I get the word verification.
ReplyDeleteI like variety also, it keeps life interesting. Thanks
DeleteNope I didn't get the word verification, thanks.
ReplyDeleteGood to know, thanks again Linda.
DeleteNoodle! what a great name. So hard not to bring home every pet that needs a home.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it! I have brought home a lot of pets that need homes, I'm full but still tempted when I meet a dog as sweet as Noodle.
DeleteME ME! I love beagles and good golly, it tears at my heart seeing one without a home...Penny was a stray at the shelter too :(
ReplyDeletePenny in the shelter! Oh no. I'm glad you were able to give her a good home.
DeleteLack of funds keeps me from adopting more pets....we just got Winter (corgi X w/?) last month....also have three rescued cats. Kills me to see all the little guys who need homes. Animals make a potter's life brighter.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've seen the pictures of Winter...such a cutie. Too bad we can't help them all.
