Last night the kilns were loaded and the firing started. We are firing two kilns, Lucille, a salt kiln and Julia the salt and soda kiln. The fire is always exciting, especially as the sun starts setting over the Penland hills.
How fun is that, one of these days I hope to do some salt or wood firing.
