Gratitude

After a weekend of really hot weather and horrible storms across much of the north eastern United States I was really happy when got up this morning to discover it was 75 degrees outside.  I was able to sit on the deck and write my morning pages then I dashed down to the studio so I could throw some pots with the door open, enjoying the fresh air.  I was so thankful for the cool breezes.

When the mail came I had a letter from my health insurance telling me that I will now get well woman health exams and more covered 100%.  Thank you President Obama everyone else that helped to make this possible for me and for all of the people that really need these changes.

While I'm in an attitude of gratitude let me thank you all for reading and commenting on this blog and on my facebook page.  It's really nice to know that people are reading what I'm writing, that people are interested in my pottery and in me.  I am feeling a sense of community with the frequent commenters and I love that.  I consider you friends who I just haven't met face to face.  I'd be happy to do that one day.

I thankful for many more things than this but I'm not going to write them all out for you.  I simply wanted to take a few minutes and express some thanks.

What are you grateful for?

    1. Thanks Julia, I've really been enjoying reading your blog about life on the farm. Since I have family in southern Idaho I can even envision some of your landscape. Maybe one day we will meet when I'm out west visiting.

  3. I am up today waiting to meet a blogger who will have traveled many miles to get here. Today 3 other women who live in NC and also read her words will come here to meet with her. She and 2 others will stay the night.
We have never meet in person- how wonderful this has all been to meet a new community of people. I think of us as all long lost family coming together.
One day we should do the same.

    1. Sometimes I think the same way Barbara. Maybe we could start a 12 step group for blogger-holics, since we're so spread out we should do it in a blog format...oh, never mind.

  6. I am grateful to have the opportunity to make pots full time. Sometimes I want to pinch myself!
The blogging community is an important dimension to my pottery making and lifestyle. This community often helps me start and end my day. Thank you for being part of it!
