Too Much Grey?

It's been raining all week.  Yuk!  We need the rain but we need the sunshine too.  I really prefer a mix but mother nature doesn't always give me what I want so I simply do my best to cope with whatever is coming my way.  Tonight it's one of those wintery mixes.  Yuk again.  This seems like a good time to snuggle in with some pups.
Dori, Ginger and I

All of this grey weather has me wanting to repaint the studio to brighten it up some.  Of course when we return to our normal sunny weather I don't know that I'll want some bright yellow or bright orange.  Right now it's a tranquil blue-grey with a light blue ceiling and a turquoise floor.  I was using leftover paints when I painted it but I do like the colors.  Maybe the weather is all that I want changed.

  1. White, love white for a studio, gives my mind a tranquil place to wander....

    1. I thought the grey would do that, and it has, it's just uninspiring on a dull day. Maybe white would be better.

  2. I love your turquoise floor! We have the rustic look going on (not our personal choice). Barn board walls, wood ceiling, cement floor. I would prefer a sleeker, cleaner look. Someday...

    1. One of my thoughts about painting the studio grey was knowing it would get covered in clay anyway. Thanks Gary.

  4. Dogs are so great to cuddle with especially in that comfortable looking chair. My studio is painted coral but my work table faces an eight foot south facing window and there's a six foot window on the West facing wall, so the color doesn't affect me much. Looking out I see a Carolina cherry tree and the West side window has shrubs blocking the intense Florida sun in summer.

    1. That sounds really nice Linda. I put my wheel in front of a window that faces a woodland hill which is pretty and tranquil but dark in the rain, of course. It seems we both get to watch a lot of wildlife from our studios.
