He and his wife were working on changing all of their dishes with hand made pieces. His idea reminded me of a conversation I had with my dentist. He told me about visiting friends in Asheville, NC who only used ceramic items that were hand made, most by local potters. My dentist talked about how special it was to know that every plate, cup, tumbler, pitcher, etc. was made by hand and was picked out by his friend.
